Cloud2Tube/Privacy Policy
Cloud2Tube Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-10-20
1. Who we are
Smartbee LLC ("we", "our", or "us") makes Cloud2Tube, an in-house tool that edits videos and manages YouTube channels. Cloud2Tube is not a public service. It runs on a single Mac that we control, and it signs in only to YouTube channels owned by our founder. No one else can sign in to it.
This policy explains which Google user data Cloud2Tube accesses, how it uses, stores and shares that data, and how access can be revoked.
2. Google user data we access
Cloud2Tube signs in with Google OAuth and asks for these YouTube scopes:
youtube.upload— to upload videos to the signed-in channel.youtubeandyoutube.force-ssl— to read and update the channel's own videos (title, description, tags, privacy status and schedule), and to read, reply to and hide or moderate comments on those videos.yt-analytics.readonly— to read the channel's view and watch-time statistics. This is read-only. It's used to choose upload times and improve titles.
Cloud2Tube doesn't request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any data outside these YouTube scopes.
3. How we use it
We use Google user data only to provide Cloud2Tube's features for the channel owner:
- Uploading edited videos and setting their metadata
- Reviewing and cleaning up metadata on existing videos. A snapshot is saved first so every change can be undone.
- Sorting comments (for example spam or harassment), replying, and hiding comments after approval
- Reading channel statistics to plan upload times and improve titles
We don't sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI or machine-learning models.
4. Where it's stored
OAuth tokens, channel data and statistics are stored only on the Mac that runs Cloud2Tube, in local files and a local SQLite database. They aren't uploaded to any server or cloud database that we run.
5. Who we share it with
Cloud2Tube sends limited data to the Anthropic Claude API to provide its features:
- Frames from a video, and its draft title, to generate a title and run a safety review before upload
- Comment text, to classify comments
Anthropic processes this data to return a result and doesn't use API data to train its models. Google user data isn't shared with anyone else, except where required by law.
6. Limited Use
Cloud2Tube's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Cloud2Tube uses YouTube API Services. By using Cloud2Tube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Keeping and deleting data
Data stays on the local Mac until the channel owner deletes it there. Removing Cloud2Tube's access (section 8) stops all further access right away. Deleting the local token files and database removes the stored data from the Mac.
Information already sent to Anthropic is handled under Anthropic's commercial terms and privacy policy.
8. Revoking access
Access can be revoked at any time at Google Account › Security › Third-party connections. You can also email us to ask us to delete the local data.
9. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and change the date at the top.
